IMPORTANT NOTICE
Steps to take if you receive mail or bills addressed to someone else
Receiving misaddressed mail can occur for a number of reasons, including incorrect customer contact details rather than fraudulent address use. However it is important to follow up and take action if required.
Contact Epic immediately
If you receive mail at your address that is not intended for you, please notify our customer service team without delay.
Our dedicated staff will promptly investigate the matter to ensure that your personal information and security are not compromised.
Return mail to sender
As a best practice, mark the envelope as “Return to Sender” and drop it off at your nearest postal service. This helps to alert the sender that the intended recipient no longer resides at your address.
Report suspected fraudulent activity
In some cases, receiving mail addressed to a different person could be a sign of identity theft or fraud. If you suspect this might be the case, it is essential to take swift action.
1) Notify the Police: Contact your local law enforcement to report the situation. They can provide guidance on how to protect yourself and what further steps to take.
2) Inform State Authorities: In addition to the police, reach out to relevant state authorities who can assist in preventing potential misuse of your identity or address.
