A single Union-wide database of Means of access to Emergency Services has been established by virtue of the Roaming Regulation.  This database intends to help roaming end-users in each Member State to be informed of all the alternative means of access to Emergency services deployed in the Union, in addition to calling emergency number 112.  This page provides up-to -date information that can be accessed free of charge, which describes the alternative means of access to emergency services which are technically feasible for use by roaming customers.

The SMS from any part of the teritory of Croatia is received at the Civil Protection Operations Centre. It is responsible to comunicate with SMS end-user and territorially responsible PSAP which alerts emergency services. Croatian telecom providers have informed their roaming partners that calls / messages to 112 (full number +385988100112) in Croatia are not charged, but the billing still depends on the roaming partner.
