The Malta ePremier League 2025–26 season delivered strong audience growth, generating more than 2.7 million impressions and 110,000 TV tune-ins across its latest edition.
The figures point to a continuing shift in how younger audiences are engaging with sport, with consumption now spread across broadcast television, live streaming platforms, and social media channels, rather than a single viewing format.
Organisers say the results underline the growing relevance of esports within the wider sporting landscape, reflecting how competitive gaming continues to attract mainstream audiences alongside traditional sport.
EPIC, which powers the initiative, said the performance confirms that esports is no longer a niche category but is firmly established within mainstream sports consumption patterns, particularly among digitally native audiences.
