Purpose
This position requires that daily collections from the various payment methods of the company are coded and posted correctly, to ensure that customer accounts are updated and maintained correctly, in order to achieve excellent customer service and achieve collection targets. It is the responsibility of the treasury analyst to contribute in achieving the targets assigned by the Treasury Manager throughout the financial year. This role is a good opportunity for career progression within the treasury department or other areas within the organisation.
Key Accountabilities / Key Activities:
- Posting of daily payments
- Prepare daily payment coding
- Reconciliation and allocation of payments.
- Payments – Solving internal queries, collecting payments from customers and follow up on chasing.
- Deliver timely monthly chasing and follow ups.
- Dealing with internal and external customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities for auditing, court or other purposes.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Minimum ‘O’ level standard including English, Mathematics and Maltese and /or completion of customer service-related course.
- Basic knowledge of financials
- English speaking
- Work in Team environment
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Written and Verbal Communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office programmes is considered a must (Email, excel, word)
- Organisational, interpersonal, communication skills and problem-solving techniques accompanied with decision making.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diverse internal and external customer population.
